A smoother evening at the bar

Cashless payment with a membership card means less change for bar staff to handle and more time for guests. The product images of the touchscreen terminal are illustrations based on our enclosure with a 10.1-inch screen. The screen content is based on the till's idle mode and purchase view, using fictitious sample data.

How does Barkassan differ from a standard till?

A standard till is built for restaurants and shops. Barkassan is specialised for closed societies where membership, balance and cards need to be linked together.

Can members top up their balance themselves?

Yes. The member logs in at barkassan.nu and tops up with Swish or card. The balance can be used at the bar straight away.

Which cards work?

Barkassan uses RFID/NFC cards. Existing membership cards can often be reused; otherwise we supply new ones.

Do we need internet at the bar?

Yes, Barkassan runs in the cloud and the till needs to be in contact with the system. The till clearly shows when the connection is missing.

What does it cost?

Monthly subscription. Hardware such as card readers and screens can be bought or rented. Contact us for current prices.

Does it work together with Tekapo Access?

Yes. The card number in Barkassan is the source for door permissions in Tekapo Access, so the same RFID card opens the door and pays at the bar.
